Are you stressed about shopping for your bridesmaid dresses?

Here are 6 tips that make bridesmaid dress shopping less stressful...

#1 Season: What is the weather going to be like during your wedding? When shopping for bridesmaid dresses, think about the temperature during the day and night. If it's going to 100 degrees choose a bridesmaid dress that is made with light, flowing fabric. If you are getting married in the winter, pick a bridesmaid dress that uses heavier fabric such as satin.

#2 Venue: What is the setting of your wedding? If you are having an outdoor or beach wedding, don't choose a ballgown that would make it impossible for your bridesmaids to be comfortable. On the other hand, if you are having your wedding in a ballroom, don't under dress your bridesmaids by putting them in a simple, short cotton bridesmaid dress from J Crew.

#3 Theme: Don't forget about the big picture, choose a bridesmaid dress that fits the over all theme of your wedding. Consider the color of the bridesmaid dress, the fabric, the length and their accessories. So, if you're having a vintage wedding a great idea would be to incorporate actual vintage dresses and accessories.

#4 Color: Think about the individual skin tones of your bridesmaids. An orange dress for your red-headed friend, not so nice! Consider different colors for each bridesmaid dress or if you are looking for a little more uniformity, select one color for the bridesmaid dress, but style each bridesmaid in a different shade (think ombre!).

#5 Cost: Your bridesmaid already expects to pay for her dress, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be conscious about how much the bridesmaid dress you go with actually costs. The average bridesmaid dress goes for $100-300, so if you fall in love with a bridesmaid dress that is over this amount, consider chipping in.

#6 Style: We are not one size fits all! Odds are each bridesmaid has a different body shape. Choose a bridesmaid dress that makes each girl look and feel good, try to be considerate of her comfort level. If one of your bridesmaids is big busted, let her wear a bridesmaid dress that has straps!

Tip: Try to find a dress that your girls can actually wear again!
