Should the bride wear a statement necklace?
While planing my wedding I was having the hardest time finding a pearl statement necklace and I began to wonder, should the bride wear a statement necklace? I mean if it was so hard to find then maybe that's a sign I shouldn't wear one, right?! So, I started to consider other necklaces, some really dainty styles. Then I started to think, maybe I shouldn't wear a necklace at all!
After going back and forth for months I finally decided to test out a few designs to see where it would take me and if all else failed, my bridesmaids could wear the necklaces I made. After a few tweaks of my initial design I was so excited, I had my necklace and it wasn't dainty by any means! My inspiration took me back to my initial vision, I created the statement necklace I had been searching for...something timeless (pearls) and sophisticated, but not boring and dainty like a single strand necklace. Finally, I had my necklace that would make a statement without taking away from my gorgeous lace wedding dress.
So, to answer your question, should the bride wear a statement necklace...yes! Go with what makes you feel beautiful, wear that statement necklace without worrying if it's going to take away from your dress because it's not! Here I am on my wedding day, proof the right statement necklace will look good with your wedding dress.
